“Thank you for making me myself
For helping me fly
For giving me wings
For ironing me out
For waking me when I was suffocating
For waking me from the dream I was living
When I think of you, the weather clears,
So I threw my sadness away
Thank you for being ‘us'” *
“Wow, Joon. That’s some deep stuff.” A soft giggle left her lips, her attention on the starry sky above them.
Namjoon couldn’t help but keep staring at the petite girl next to him. The way the stars reflected in her pupils was alluring and just beautiful. The corners of his lips tugged up, a smile appearing on his face and deepening his dimples.
“I meant every word. Thank you, Arty. I don’t know what my life would have been like without you in it.” He could feel his voice shake as his emotions began to run wild. “I will keep my promise and never leave you. I love you, Arty.”
She turned and looked up, fixing her beautiful irises on him as she broke out into a sad smile. She pushed herself up onto her tippy toes and leaned against him, pecking him gently on his cheek.
“I love you too, Kim Namjoon,” she replied.
As the two stared at each other, a bright grin spread across his features. But the girl still gave that smile of sadness. She reached out her hand, her fingers gently caressing his dimples.
“And I’m so proud of you,” she whispered, a lone tear escaping and sliding down her cheeks as the world began to darken.

Namjoon suddenly gasped. His bloodshot eyes filled with restrained tears opened as he sat up on his bed. His clothing stuck onto his body in a cold sweat.
“Hyung? Hyung, are you okay?” Jungkook asked as he worriedly watched his leader move out of bed in an alarmed manner. “Hyung, it was just a nightmare.”
Namjoon slowed down his motions to look over his shoulder at the younger boy to give him a small smile. “Kookie, if only it was just a nightmare. . . I’m not feeling well. Please inform Seokjin-Hyung that he’s in charge tonight and do send my apologies to Bang PD.”
Jungkook stared at the older male, internally debating whether he should keep bothering him. Deciding to give him some space, Jungkook bowed politely before leaving the leader alone.
Twirling the chain that hung around his neck, Namjoon slumped his shoulders as he allowed those burning hot tears to fall. “You lied to me. You said you would stay, but you left me all alone. . . Was I not enough, Arty?”
He took in a deep breath and brushed away those tears before anyone could walk into the room. He swallowed thickly before making his way to the bathroom to get ready to leave.
He had to visit the one place that made him feel whole again.
